Parenting is probably the toughest, and most rewarding, job you will ever undertake! If you are anything like me, it involves a lot of trial and error and constant adaptation to hit on a system that works…for anything. In our house, methods tend to work great for awhile and then wane over time, so staying a step ahead in developing creative ways to motivate, encourage and instruct my younglings is always a challenge.
Thus I am devoting this section of my blog to sharing some of the ideas that have worked for our family for more than just a week or two. (Click on or hover over the words “Parenting Tools” on the blog menu to see a list of items I’ve added. Then click on the name to learn more.) I have tried to include a PDF containing artwork and detailed assembly instructions for any of the materials I’ve used in implementing these ideas, but you can certainly create your own materials that are tailored to your family’s needs.
I hope you find these tools helpful. Please feel free to comment and to share these ideas or links with other parents. The way I see it, we’re all in this together!
